With 007 First Light bringing James Bond back to gaming on May 27, 2026, we’re going back into the archives to revisit Daniel Craig’s first Bond game: 007 Quantum of Solace. Released in 2008, Quantum of Solace adapted moments from both Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace, with Daniel Craig lending his likeness and voice to the role. But here’s the real question: which version was actually the best? In this retrospective, we compare the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo DS versions, covering the development history, gameplay differences, graphics, and why the PS2 version may have been the strongest version of the game. The PS3 version had the HD polish, the DS version had unique handheld ideas, but the PS2 version captured the physical Daniel Craig Bond style better than expected.
