Like it or not, my friends, A.I. is not going anywhere for the time being. Google, which is responsible for such A.I. such as VEO 3, has released its latest ambition, Project Genie 3. The concept of the Genie 3 is to generate explorable, real-time interactive worlds from simple prompts. The concept is great, but the execution is another story.
At its strongest moments, Project Genie feels like a real technical feat. The idea of creating an entire world from prompts, who wouldn't want to try that? However, there is much to be desired from Genie 3. For starters, the movement while staying interactive at roughly 20 to 24 frames per second. There are also various issues with generations; sometimes it works, and other times it misses the mark. You can only walk and jump, and at times you're not even in control of your own character. The price point of 250 dollars a month for a Google AI Ultra subscription is insane. Project Genie behaves more like a showcase tech demo than an actual creator-ready tool. To be fair, this is stillin the early phases, but $250 for what it is offering is a hard sell. Check out the video below for a full review.
